GULFPORT -- A man facing prosecution on a charge of accessory to murder has now been arrested in a stabbing reported Tuesday night at Southern Oaks Trailer Park.
Gulfport police arrested Devin Deshaun Gregory of Gulfport early Wednesday morning on a charge of aggravated assault.
Officers responding to a call from the trailer park about 9 p.m. Tuesday found a 21-year-old man suffering from what appeared to be a stab wound, police Sgt. Damon McDaniel said. Southern Oaks is on Three Rivers Road just north of Interstate 10.
Investigators learned Gregory and the wounded man had a fight, he said, and Gregory was holding a knife before the stabbing occurred.
The wounded man was taken to a hospital by American Medical Response ambulance service.
Gregory fled, McDaniel said, but was later arrested.
Justice Court Judge Brandon Ladner ordered Gregory be held with no bond.
He has been out of jail on bond on an accessory charge since his arrest Oct. 30, 2015. He was arrested in the investigation of the killing of Tena Broadus, whose skeletal remains were found in the Biloxi River on Oct. 7. Broadus, 29, had been missing nearly three weeks.
Police have said Broadus was killed at an O'Neal Road home and her body was burned at a different location, then her remains were discarded in the river.
