A Georgia man was jailed Thursday after police said he tried to steal a money-deposit bag from a casino.
Christopher Bailey, 56, was arrested on a grand larceny charge.
D'Iberville police responded to the Scarlet Pearl Casino on Thursday on a report a patron had stolen a money-deposit bag containing cash from the casino's buffet counter, Capt. Marty Griffin said. Buffet employees notified casino security and security personnel reviewed surveillance video that shows Bailey taking the bag, Griffin said.
Security personnel found Bailey outside the casino and detained him until police arrived, Griffin said.
