Biloxi police arrested a suspect Saturday on a charge of auto burglary.
The arrest of Douglas Neal Hesler, 34, of Gulfport, stems from an investigation into a burglary in progress at Summer Chase Apartments on Popp’s Ferry Road, according to Biloxi police.
Officers arrived on scene and arrested Hesler after locating him hiding in a stairwell located in one of the buildings in the complex, police said.
During the course of the investigation, police said it was learned that Hesler had an active warrant through the Mississippi Department of Corrections for a probation violation on original charges of narcotic possession and burglary.
