To the disappointment of some of the city’s residents, Keith Davis resigned as Moss Point Police Chief in June 2014 to become Chief of Patrol for the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources. In February, 2018, Davis returned to Moss Point to take over a department that has had gone through three chiefs since he left.
