Students, faculty, local dignitaries and school board members joined together this morning on a memorial walk in memory of Kendrell McDonald.
Many students broke down in tears during the walk when they passed the sign in front of Bel-Aire Elementary that read, "We will miss you, Kendrell."
In all, more than 100 were on hand to honor the 10-year-old. His family offered prayers in memory of their loved one and also for bus driver Debra Rowell.
McDonald died Tuesday after Kendrell had missed his bus stop and was trying to catch the bus at the next stop on the route when it hit him.
Never miss a local story.
