A truck carrying water and dirt dredged from the the Mississippi Sound spilled some of its contents on Cowan Road, causing a closure of one lane of traffic, police said.
Officers on the scene said a truck belonging to W.C. "Cotton" Fore was northbound at the light at Cowan and Magnolia roads. When the truck accelerated after the light turned green, the slick substance sloshed over the side of the truck and spilling on to the roadway, according to a motorist who witnessed the spill.
Officers said they are waiting for a crew from Fore Trucking to arrive on scene to clean up the spill, which resembled "green pudding" according to a witness. Much of the spill had dispersed by motorists driving through it.
