A missing Baton Rouge woman whose abandoned vehicle was found near D’Iberville was found Monday in a home under construction in Biloxi, police said.
Linda Thompson, 67, was being checked out by medical personnel after she was found at a construction site off Brodie Road on Monday morning, Biloxi Police Maj. Christopher De Back said.
How she ended up about 145 miles from her home wasn’t clear.
“As far as we know, she didn’t know anybody here,” De Back said.
“We’ve notified Baton Rouge police and her family are being notified,” he said.
“But she is alive. She is safe.”
Thompson was last seen at her home Oct. 27. Her 2005 Lexus was found in D’Iberville the same day in the median of Interstate 10 near Interstate 110.
“It appeared her car had run out of gas,” De Back said.
The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation issued a Silver Alert on Friday.
