A 14-year-old boy who hadn’t been seen since Sunday night has returned home, Police Chief Billy Seal said.
Police had asked for the public’s help to find Lane Patrick Poolson on Monday, saying he’d walked away from his home on Shalimar Drive about 8 p.m. Sunday with his clothes in a backpack.
Poolson’s mother contacted police later Monday saying he had returned home about 12:55 p.m., Seal said.
Poolson was in good health and had no injuries, he said.
Never miss a local story.
He is the second Long Beach teen to leave home in the same fashion since Oct. 1. Courtlee Ann Hilton, 16, also left home with clothes stuffed in a backpack, police say.
Seal said the two cases are not related.
