BILOXI – Three people were arrested in connection with an illegal escort service which included illegal narcotics distributions, police said. Biloxi’s Special Crimes Division investigators joined patrol and traffic officers to serve search warrants at two locations in the city Friday night. Karen Lea Donovan, Shatarra Monique Rodriquez and Jaclyn Rechele Mallette Ewing were arrested in the operation, Sgt. Aldon Helmert said. Donovan is charged with possession of hydrocodone, a schedule III narcotic, with intent to distribute. She is also charged with violation of four city ordinances regulating the management and operation of sexually oriented escort services, he said. Court Judge Albert Fountain ordered set bond at $50,000.00 for the possession with intent charge and Municipal Court Judge Eugene Henry ordered a $4,000 bond for the city odinance violations. Rodriguez is charged with possession of methylenedioxypyrovalerone, known as bath salts, and amphetamine with intent to distribute, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, hydrocodone and two similar city ordinance violations. Fountain set bond on the possession with intent charges at $75,000. Henry ordered a $2,000 bond for the city ordinance violations and $1,830 for the misdemeanor possession charges. Ewing is charged with possessing amphetamine with intent to distribute and two city ordinance violations regulating sexually oriented escorts. Fountain set bond at $25,000 for possession, while Henry ordered a bond of $2,000 for the ordinance violations. Read the story in Sunday’s Sun Herald.
