Mississippi Power names new plant after former president

During Wednesday’s earnings call, Southern Company CEO Tom Fanning announced Mississippi Power’s new Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle plant in Kemper County will be named in honor of David M. Ratcliffe, recently retired chairman, president and CEO of Southern Company.
