The Biloxi Council again failed to take action on the issue of longevity pay.
Councilman Tom Wall moved to take the issue off the table, but was voted down 3-3.
Wall, Lucy Denton and Clark Griffith voted to take up the matter.
George Lawrence, David Fayard and Ed Gemmill voted against it.
Bill Stallworth was absent. Because there was no majority, the issue was left on the table with no action.
In other business, there was a first reading on other employee benefit cuts. The administration warned the Council that if no cuts are made, layoffs will have to be made soon.
