Ken Stabler’s ‘greatest play’ was donating his brain for CTE study, says his Biloxi partner

Former NFL player Ken Stabler sensed he would develop dementia before the link between CTE, chronic traumatic encephalopathy, and American football was clearly established. An examination of his brain, which he donated to Boston University, confirmed the diagnosis in early 2016 and a bigger studied recently completed showed CTE in the brains of 110 of the 111 NFL players that were examined.
