South Mississippi Regional Center recognized its 2016 summer employees: Marcella Hale, behavior health specialist in Long Beach, received the Achieving Center Excellence Award; Shalisha McCoy, direct care worker at Gautier Community Homes, was named the Direct Support Services honoree; Candice Sardin, purchasing agent in the Long Beach business office, was named the Support Services honoree; and Hester Henry, direct care worker at Robert Lott Community Homes in Poplarville, was named the 2016 Employee of the Year.
Mickey Williams of Ocean Springs, a community leader for nearly 30 years was voted Mississippi Gulf Coast YMCA John R. Blossman Humanitarian of the Year. Williams, who retired as senior vice president from Merchants and Marine Bank, previously served as president of the Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce, treasurer and president of the Coast YMCA, president of the Pascagoula River Audubon Center Advisory Board along with other boards and foundations. He will be honored at the 8th annual John R. Blossman Humanitarian Charity Banquet on Nov. 1.
Anthony Montgomery, a native of Biloxi, has been named community development program manager for Hancock and Whitney Bank. He will work with bank and local leaders and organizations to meet the needs of low-to-moderate-income communities through grants, outreach, partnerships and volunteerism.
Kimberly Nastasi has been named director of communications for Ingalls Shipbuilding. Nastasi previously served as CEO of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber of Commerce and executive director of the chamber’s foundation.
Dr. Stephen E. Buckle and certified nurse family pracititioner Susan Wallace have joined Stone County Hospital. The two new employees will provide Gastroenterology services at the hospital.
Sondra Gayle Hicks of Sondra Gayle Hicks Allstate Insurance Agency was named an Allstate Premier Agency for 2016. Agency owners receive the designation for outstanding customer service.
