Art students at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic School in Long Beach recently learned about the American abstract-expressionist Jackson Pollack. Pollack controlled the placement of every line, even though his paintings don’t look like it. The art students made two paintings in Pollack’s style. Once the paint was dry they added fields of color and broader lines. Pictured: Chandler Kergosien, Patrick Powers, Sage Barrett and Abby Koons.
