DeLisle Elementary School’s Jennifer Hansen blazes past Kurt Duffy, left, and demonstrates to Cameron Dubuisson, right, fitness fun in the President’s Challenge. Fifth graders at the school recently took part in the program, which challenges all Americans to make being active part of their everyday lives to improve their mental, physical and social well-being. Physical education teacher Curtis Cotten organized a one-mile running/speed walking event for fifth-grade students. Everyone was able to complete the challenge. Chad Dedeaux was the first to finish the mile with a time of seven minutes, 57 seconds.
