Coast students earn Frigo scholarships

The fourth annual Frigo Orthodontics $1,00 scholarship awards were presented recently to Katelyn Hulett, Gulfport High School; Katherine Brett Jenkins, Pass Christian High School; Chris Ladner, Harrison Central High School; Farren Washington, Bay High School; Jack Donovan, Long Beach High School; and Cody LeBlanc, St. Stanislaus College.

Dr. Christopher Frigo of Frigo Orthodontics provided collegiate financial aid to current or former patients in the graduating class of 2009.

The scholarships were based on students’ grade-point average, community participation and overall character.

Hulett is attending Delta State University.

Jenkins is attending Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, majoring in veterinary medicine.

Also attending Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, Ladner is majoring in electrical/mechanical engineering.

Washington is attending Dillard University majoring in biology/pre-med.

Donovan is attending Mississippi State University, majoring in sports management.

LeBlanc is attending the University of Mississippi and majoring in international studies.
