Jeff Impey of Ocean Springs takes pictures Tuesday of black skimmers on the beach near the Biloxi Lighthouse. The birds had gathered on the beach along with gulls and terns, and attracted Impey’s attention. He said he was trying to catch one of the birds in mid-flight, but was finding they were faster than his shutter finger.
