The center reports to the Naval Ocean- ography Operations Command, a subordinate of the Naval Meteorology and Oceanography Command, both at Stennis.
Borbash assumes command after serving as NOOC executive officer. He is a graduate of North Carolina State University with a bachelor’s degree in meteorology, the Naval Postgraduate School with a master’s degree in meteorology and physical oceanography and the University of Southern Mississippi with a master’s degree in hydrographic science.
Air Force Airman 1st Class Zachary C. Bradley, the grandson of Kathleen and Jerry Jones and nephew of John and Kim Graham, all of Saucier, graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio. The airman is a 2005 graduate of Harrison Central High School, Gulfport.
Army Pfc. Nathan T. Brennan, the son of Joseph Brennan of Biloxi, has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Ga. Brennan is a 2009 graduate of Biloxi High School.
Air Force Reserve Airman 1st Class Rodney L. Broussard, the son of Rodney Broussard of Moss Point, graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio. Broussard is a 2004 graduate of East Central High School, Hurley.
Army Reserve Pfc. George A. Bryan, the son of Angela L. and George M. Bryan of Biloxi, has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Knox, Ky. Bryan is a 2009 graduate of St. Martin High.
Army Reserve Pvt. Kiera L. Buckley, the daughter of Pammy Buckley of Gulfport, has graduated from basic military training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C., under the split-option enlistment program to serve as a member of the Army National Guard or Reserve. Buckley is a student at Harrison Central High School, Gulfport.
Yancy J.D. Bush, the son of Sharon A. and James A. Bush of Biloxi, has graduated from the Army Reserve Officer Training Corps Leader Development and Assessment Course, also known as “Operation Warrior Forge,” at Fort Lewis, Tacoma, Wash. Cadets in their junior and senior year of college must complete the leadership development course. Upon successful completion of the course, the ROTC program and graduation from college, cadets are commissioned as 2nd lieutenants in the U.S. Army, National Guard or Reserve.
