n Swine flu vaccines arrived at Mississippi health departments Monday, with high-priority groups given vaccines. Pregnant women, children and those who work with children received shots, with limited waiting compared to other areas of the country where long lines prevailed.

n The Harrison County Board of Supervisors has been asked to consider spending $800,000 to finish a plan for expansion of the jail , which has been overcrowded for years.

n The Mississippi Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo will return to Gulfport in July 2010 on Island View Casino’s beachfront property, city officials announced Tuesday. The rodeo had been held in Gulfport for 37 years, but moved to the Harrison County Fairgrounds and Biloxi after Hurricane Katrina.

n An anonymous $6 million donation to the Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art will fund construction of the largest building planned for the Biloxi property, the four-story center for ceramics.
