American Masters exhibit comes home

The last stop of the statewide touring exhibit, “American Masters of the Gulf Coast,” will be at the Walter Anderson Museum of Art in Ocean Springs, Nov. 19 - Jan. 10, 2010.

An opening reception will be held at 6 p.m. Nov. 19.

The exhibit is organized by the Mississippi Arts Commission and underwritten by the National Endowment for the Arts. It showcases the artworks of four nationally recognized artists from the Gulf Coast: George Ohr and Dusti Bongé of Biloxi, Walter Anderson of Ocean Springs and Richmond Barthe of Bay St. Louis.

WAMA is the final of the exhibit’s eight venues that included Amory, Jackson, Oxford and Hattiesburg, since it began traveling in August 2008,
