George County authorities are looking for a man who hasn't been seen or heard from by his family since April 25.
That's the day Arthur Ignatz Jr., of George County, and another man borrowed a car and left. They were expected to be gone only a short time, Sheriff Keith Havard said. But they didn't return.
"His family reported him missing a couple of weeks ago," Havard said. "We don't know if he's just left the area willingly. There's no reason to believe there's any foul play but we're not going to rule out the possibility," he said, due to the length of the time Ignatz has been missing.
Havard asks anyone with information to call his department at (601) 947-4811 or Crime Stoppers at (877) 787-5898
"Any information whatsoever," he said. "We just want to make sure he's safe."
