Collins safety Mark McLaurin has verbally committed to Mississippi State.
McLaurin made his announcement on Thursday.
"I felt like it was time to do it," McLaurin told Bulldogblitz.com. "I just got done talking about it to my mom and the coaches and we felt like Mississippi State was the place for me. I just called coach Hughes and coach Mullen and talked to them about it. They were really excited and just told me they were ready to have me on campus."
Standing at 6-foot-3 and 200 pounds, McLaurin has the size and skill to play wide receiver or cornerback, but insists MSU will keep him a safety.
The Bulldogs have one of the nation's Top 15 signing classes, according to 247sports.com.
