Bay St. Louis kids get dirty to learn about the environment

The Magnolia Bayou Hidden Watershed project by Mississippi State University Gulf Coast Community Design Studio and members of the Boys & Girls Club of South Mississippi’s Hancock County Unit got children outside to learn about the delicate ecosystem in their city. The kids did water quality samples, drew paintings of native species, made a three-dimensional model of the watershed and put it all together in an exhibit in the city’s Depot District. The whole project was documented by a 15-year-old filmmaker from Pass Christian.
