St. Stanislaus wrapped up the Region 8-4A football championship Friday night, heading to the state playoffs as a No. 1 seed.
Moss Point and Gautier set up a winner-take-all meeting for the Region 4-5A championship.
And the Region 4-6A title race is a three-sided race between Harrison Central, Ocean Springs and George County.
And, of course, it was Friday and it rained. But no lightning.
Dylan Favre completed 21 of 29 passes for 360 yards and five touchdowns as SSC defeated Purvis 56-33 for their region title. Favre also ran for two scores.
Clyde Robinson and Cordeem Raine returned interceptions for touchdowns as region-leading Moss Point romped at D’Iberville 42-7. Robinson took his pick 71 yards and Raine raced 67.
Joel Allen rushed for 118 yards and two touchdowns on eight carries as Gautier knocked off St. Martin 20-6 at Barlow Stadium. One of his TD runs covered 68 yards. That means Gautier and Moss Point will square off for the Region 4-5A title next Friday at Gautier.
Harrison Central knocked off Pascagoula 38-20 to move to 9-1 overall and 5-1 in Region 4-6A. Furious Bradley had a 14-yard TD run.
Ocean Springs knocked off Gulfport 20-14, holding the Admirals at the Greyhound 2 as time ran out. The Greyhounds are 8-2 overall and 5-1 in region.
George County, meanwhile, was defeated 32-21 in the final game at Panther Stadium in Petal. The Rebels fall to 7-3, 5-1. R.J. Spivery had two TDs in a losing cause.

Next week, Harrison Central hosts Hancock while Ocean Springs travels to George County.
Hancock rallied from a 17-6 halftime deficit to defeat Biloxi 21-17. Keagon Gillihan ignited the comeback, throwing two second-half TD passes to Brian Armenta.
Biloxi faces Gulfport next week in their annual rivalry game.
Undefeated West Jones held off Picayune 21-20 in overtime. Both teams entered the game tied for first place in Region 3-5A.
East Central edged Long Beach 21-20, slowing the Bearcats in their drive for a playoff spot from Region 4-5A. Hugh Burrage ran for 106 yards and two touchdowns to spark the Hornets who won the game when they stopped a two-point conversion in the final minute.
Anthony D’Angelo threw for 249 yards and three touchdowns for Long Beach.
Darion Arrington scored three touchdowns as Stone routed Forest Hill 37-6 in a rainstorm.
