Kiln’s first fast-food restaurant with a drive-thru may be open for business by the beginning of 2018.
Ward’s announced on Facebook last week that they’d be opening a spot in Kiln, but didn’t give many other details.
Shelley Sullivan, spokesperson for Ward’s Franchise restaurants, said the new location will open at the corner of Mississippi 603 and Kiln-DeLisle Road, in the heart of the Kiln.
Sullivan said the company is hoping to open in about 6 months.

“There are several factors beyond our control that could speed up or slow down that estimate,” Sullivan said.
The Kiln location will be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday to Saturday. On Sundays, Ward’s will open one hour later, at 7 a.m., and close at 10 p.m.
Sullivan said Ward’s will employ about 30 full-time or part-time employees.
Ward’s joins a several other eateries in the Kiln, including Dempsey’s Steak and Seafood, Dolly’s Quick Stop, Mr. Wok, Cruise-In Cafe, the Lazy Magnolia Brewery Cafe and Dockside.
