TV Tidbits: J-Lo sex tape?

In case you missed it - the week in TV buzz:

Retired NFL star Lawrence Taylor showed off his quickstep on "Dancing With the Stars" - but Sunday night he bolted from the scene of a crime.

Taylor was arrested a couple miles from a car accident on the freeway in Dade County, Fla., at about 10 p.m. Taylor was driving a white Cadillac Escalade when he hit a 1984 Ford van, smashing it into a guardrail.

When cops caught up to him, he was standing in a parking lot next to his car, which was missing a front tire. The tire was found at the scene of the accident.

Cops say they didn't give Taylor - who had bloodshot eyes and has a history of substance abuse - a sobriety test because he seemed coherent. (And famous?) He was released on $500 bond.

Oh, no. J-Lo has a sex tape?

When will celebrities EVER learn?!

Since Jennifer Lopez reinvented herself as a mom, we haven't seen Jenny from the Block so much anymore. But now her pesky ex-husband - the first one - is apparently shopping a tell-all movie that shows the superstar "in sexual situations," cavorting half-nude in a hotel room during the couple's honeymoon.

J-Lo has gone into legal mode and has temporarily stopped distribution of the home video footage - for now. It's back to court for all parties.

Now "The Office" is under fire for its Halloween episode, which turned a mock suicide attempt into a punchline.

The American Foundation of Suicide Prevention is upset over the opening scene of the Oct. 29 episode, in which Steve Carrell's dolt of an office manager pretends to hang himself in front of a group of young trick-or-treaters. "Kids, just remember, suicide is not the answer," he says. "It is the easy way out."

NBC has yet to respond to the criticism.

Blah, blah, "Gossip Girl" threesome.

The Parents Television Council is raising a stink over next week's racy episode on the teen drama. But haven't we seen this storyline before?

Sure, the steamy threesome teased in "Gossip Girl" promos might be new (and desperate), but the PTC has criticized "Gossip Girl" for being too sexually suggestive before. And it's still on the air, and people still watch it.

Let's just take this for what it is: A November sweeps stunt. And thanks to the PTC, everyone now knows this is an episode not to be missed. Thanks for the free publicity!
