NEW YORK -- In a Nov. 9 story about the CBS drama series "NCIS," The Associated Press, relying on information from CBS, reported erroneously that Thomas A. Betro, former director of the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, was the first government official to appear on the series. NCIS says at least one other government official preceded Betro, who appeared in the series in October 2007.
