The Lil Boosie "Thanksgiving Bash" at Kress Live in Biloxi is set to begin Thursday at 9 p.m., but the Louisiana rapper announced on Instagram that he has kidney cancer.
According to TMZ, Lil Boosie posted, "I need all my fans to pray for me Doctor just told me I have cancer on my kidneys prayer is power that's why I'm letting the world know prayfaboosie" Wednesday morning, but the caption on the photo was deleted shortly after the post was made.
Boosie was released from prison last year after serving time in Angola for a drug charge.
The rapper will be performing in the Vieux Marche on Thursday, said Kress Live owner Chase Taylor.
"He's coming to Kress 100 percent," Taylor said. "We will have Merit Health on full alert."
The rapper will have express entry into the venue.
Taylor said this could be the rapper's last performance before he begins treatment.
"We respect his career and the fact that this could be his last show. We want to make it spectacular," he said.
Pre-sale tickets for the show are still available for purchase.
