The Christmas season will come to life during December at Beau Rivage Resort & Casino in Biloxi with "Santa & Friends on Ice."
On a pond of ice, Santa and Mrs. Claus will take center stage at the Beau Rivage Theatre. Joining them will be a cast of elves, a snowman, reindeer and a gingerbread man, all helping deliver a hit parade of holiday classics such as "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" and "Jingle Bell Rock."
Never miss a local story.
The winter setting is further brought to life with a snowfall inside the theater at every show. Jeb Rand, executive producer, said it's part of creating a show that appeals to all ages.
"'Santa and Friends on Ice' is like spending an evening inside a snow globe come to life, with a little something for everyone in the family to enjoy," Rand said.
Anthony Gibson, Beau Rivage executive director of entertainment, said the caliber of entertainment offered also makes the show an attractive family outing.
"The level of professional skaters the producer retains for the Beau Rivage Christmas show is amazing," Gibson said. "The most outstanding part of the show is the incredible level of skating talent and tricks performed on real ice, inside the Beau Rivage."
Tickets start at $12.95 and are available at the box office, at beaurivage.com or by calling 1-888-566-7469. Family packages are available.
Showtimes are at 7 nightly through Dec. 27 with additional performances at 3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays and Dec. 24 and 25. There are no performances on Mondays.
"Santa & Friends on Ice" will present military appreciation performances Dec. 5 and 6 at 3 and 7 p.m. Tickets for service members are four for $30, with military ID, and are available at the box office. Four Gulf Coast military service members will be recognized during the shows.
"Santa & Friends on Ice" is part of a grand holiday celebration at the Beau. The casino resort's promenade is decorated with oversized ornaments and nutcrackers, snow-covered trees and poinsettias. Among special events planned are pictures with Santa for diners at The Buffet and a Holiday Open House from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday with carolers and samples from the Beau's restaurants.
