Flo Rida is bringing his Going Down For Real World Tour to Biloxi's MGM Park tonight.
Gates open at 8 p.m. and local artists including DJ Hyphee and Gulfport's own Darrell Tyrone Hampton Jr., aka Young Canon, will take the stage as opening acts before national acts take the stage at 9 p.m.
Young Canon had an ear for music at a young age, grew up listening to rap legends such as Master P, NWA and LL Cool J and started doing small performances on the local club scene, where he caught the attention of Blaine Ashley, a Pass Christian native, who managed him and showed him the ropes of the music industry.
He has released an album titled "Big Thangs" and sees tonight's opening gig as a great opportunity to show his talents to a broader audience.
Others sharing the bill with Flo Rida will be Gorilla Zoe and Natalie La Rose.
Tickets, which range from $25 to $50, will be available day of the event at the box office. Sponsors of the event are Bud Light, American Star Vodka, Overtime Sports, Driven Entertainment, Beau Rivage Resort & Casino and 107.1 The Monkey. Tickets can be purchased at the MGM Park box office, at ticketmaster.com or Ticketmaster by phone at (800) 745-3000.
