Friday night high school football continues to be one of most entertaining bargains in South Mississippi.

But there are few opportunities left to see the record-shattering performance of quarterback Dylan Favre for as little as $5. Favre (yes, Brett’s his uncle) will lead the St. Stanislaus Rockachaws into Pass Christian tonight to face the Pirates. The regular season ends next Friday for the Rocks when they host the Purvis Tornadoes.

Among the other games kicking off at 7 p.m., the Hornets from Hurley, aka East Central High School in Jackson County, will be at West Harrison High School to face the Hurricanes, who have yet to win a game in their inaugural season. Maybe the Hornets, who have a victory to their credit this season, will be accommodating guests.

To each and every student-athlete taking the field tonight, our best wishes for four quarters of fun and fantastic football.
