A former aide to Sen. Thad Cochran, R-Miss., pleaded guilty to drug charges today in federal courtin Washington, D.C., Roll Call reported.
Fred Pagan, 49, who worked for Cochran virtually since he went to D.C. as a teen intern, admitted he was part of a scheme to distribute meth and help others get the drug.
He faces up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine, neither of which is likely given his lack of a criminal record, when he is sentenced Oct. 30.
