U.S. Congressman Gene Taylor today issued the following response regarding the opening of the new U.S. 90 bridge across the Bay of St. Louis:
Under sunny skies, it was a good day for cruising Thursday as retirees in classic cars and leather-clad motorcyclists tooled westward on U.S. 90 past workers taking down signs that said the bridge is out.
There is a buzz in this town like never before. Throughout Old Town or around Cedar Point today, there is a sense that something historic is about to happen.
