HARRISON COUNTY -- Traffic on County Farm Road and north to Interstate 10 is likely to remain congested today until 10 a.m. for cleanup from a fatal crash and a diesel spill.

Sheriff's Maj. Tony Sauro said one person died shortly after 6 a.m. when a tractor-trailor-style dump truck and a pickup collided on County Farm Road.

The victim's name is being withheld pending notification of relatives.

Sauro said diesel spilled and debris was strewn along a stretch of road and in ditches.

Deputies helped direct traffic to allow school buses to reach the campus of West Harrison High.

The Sun Herald updates this story as details become available.
