George County baseball player, Lucedale, Mississippi, native and cancer survivor Dylan Eubanks helped give back to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital by leading a fundraiser to collect more than $6,100 for the Memphis-based facility.
The Treasury Department is investigating the expenditures of housing agencies in 18 states, including Mississippi, and the District of Columbia that used federal funds aimed at bailing out homeowners in danger of losing their properties to foreclosure, alleging that some misspent the money and will have to repay it.
George County High School baseball player Dylan Eubanks is a cancer survivor who received treatment at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In October he had the idea to raise some money for the facility. He and his teammates have raised more than $6,000, and he and three others promised to shave their heads when they hit $5,000.
