Deadline looms for Mississippi Power to make case for raising rates

Seven years after construction began, and at an anticipated cost $4.3 billion more than originally projected, the Kemper County energy facility now faces a major deadline. In June, Mississippi Power will lay out its rate case for the Mississippi Public Service Commission to decide whether the costs are prudent and how much should be recovered with a rate hike.
