Walker Robbins threw a one-hitter and struck out nine as George County beat Pearl 4-0 in Game one of their Class 6A second-round series on Friday. West Whittington supplied the power with a solo homer. Logan Tanner also had two hits for GCHS (16-7). The Rebels go for a series sweep at Pearl at 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

BILOXI--A crowd of 2,418 witnessed the reliable bullpen of the Biloxi Shuckers catch a snag on Friday night at MGM Park, as the staff labored through an eight-run eighth inning en route to an 8-3 loss to the Tennessee Smokies. The eight runs are the most surrendered in an inning in the history of the team.
