Young OLA coach isn’t letting breast cancer win

Less than a year after marrying, Our Lady Academy girls basketball coach Breanna Halley was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer. Halley is now nearing the end of her chemotherapy. With major surgery set for November, the OLA and Hancock communities came together to host a “Pink Out” during Wednesday’s volleyball match.

Here’s what could soon revive Harrison County Skate Park

Indoor soccer, an ice rink, film school and a roller rink are the proposals for the old Harrison County Skate Park. Harrison County supervisors and the Biloxi School Board will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Harrison County Courthouse in Biloxi to review the proposals.

We mourn Biloxi’s Jerry O’Keefe, admire his life

Jerry O’Keefe of Biloxi died Tuesday. While we mourn the World War II hero, former owner of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Homes and civic leader, we also celebrate his life. From the Ohr-O’Keefe Museum of Art to the Vieux Marche to his family, O’Keefe left quite a legacy.
