Today at Peter Anderson Festival

@BR Boxtext bold lede colon:What: 31st annual Peter Anderson Festival continues today from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Where: Downtown Ocean Springs along Washington Avenue and Government Street, which are closed to vehicles.

Vendors: About 350 art and crafts booths with pottery, paintings, jewelry, woodwork, glassware, each juried into the event, plus food, music and entertainment.

Music: Performances at the Gazebo in Marshall Park are 9-10:30 a.m., Sicily Swing; 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Caution Swing Bridge, 1-2:30 p.m., Tom Beavers & Friends, playing at Peter Anderson for the 21st year; 3-4:30 p.m., Nash Street. Musicians playing within the festival are Carlos Vega’s The Wind, with native American music; and Coconut Dave on steel drums.

Food: In addition to many selections offered at festival booths and local restaurants, the Mary C. O’Keefe Cultural Center on Government Street will raise money selling gumbo made by IP Casino Resort.

Parking: Free park and ride service from 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m. from Oak Park Elementary and Ocean Springs High School on Holcomb Boulevard.

Sponsor: Ocean Springs Chamber of Commerce — Main Street — Tourism Bureau.
