On Saturday, February 7, 2009, the coronation of King Jupiter and Queen Leda XXXX took place at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Coliseum Convention Center, as “Lost and Treasured Civilizations” was presented. Kenny Study and Jamie Lord reign as King Jupiter and Queen Leda XXXX. The Krewe of Gemini invited members and guests on a journey of discovery of times gone by filled with riches from civilizations of our past that have come and gone; in the form of sunken cities and vast treasures from around the world.

Kenny Study is a lifelong resident of the Mississippi Gulf Coast and resides in Gulfport with his bride of 26 years, Debra. He has one son, Brandon Study who served his father as a duke, and one grandson, Braydon Study. Kenny has been a member of the Krewe of Gemini for the past 31 years and has served on the royal court numerous times. He is a past President, Vice-President, Parade Captain and Trustee of the Krewe of Gemini. Kenny is also a charter member of the Krewe of Gemini’s golf team. He attended Phillips Junior College where he received his associate’s degree in electronic engineering. He was employed with AVCRAD where he served in the Ms. Army National Guard as an avionics technician working on all military helicopters. He retired from the MS. Army National Guard in 2004 after 29 years of service. He returned to AVCRAD as a contractor where he is currently employed with Lear Siegler, Inc in Gulfport. He is a member of Windance Country Club and the American Legion of Gulfport.

Jamie Lord is the daughter of the Cecile Miketinas Scialdone and the late Gino Scialdone of Diamondhead; Leo F. McNally Jr. DDS of Washington State; and the granddaughter of the late James & Dorothy Miketinas of Gulfport and Constance McNally and the late Leo F. McNally Sr. She currently resides in Montgomery, AL with her husband Brian Lord and their two daughters Taylor & Katlyn. She is a recent graduate of Baptist Medical School of Ultrasounography – where she graduated at the top of her class and is continuing her education at Auburn University in Montgomery, where she is a Junior in the School of Psychology. Jamie is employed with Alabama Artificial Limb and Orthopedic Services and is also employed with Baptist Hospital in Prattsville, AL in the Radiology Department. She is an active member of the St. Bede’s Catholic Church and attends Vaughn Forrest Baptist Church. Jamie is a member of the Gulf Coast Italian American Cultural Society, the National Poets Society, the National Honors Society, Ultrasonographers of America and the Montgomery Dart Association. Pages to his royal majesty were, Master Bryce Nathaniel Adams & Master Aubrey Wayne Shaw. Bryce is the 8 year- old son of Rich & Shania Adams of Oxford, MS. And is the Grandson of Richard & Kaye Adams of Atlanta, GA & Lorraine Dawson of Gulfport. Aubrey is the 9 year- old son of Mike & Betty Shaw of Vancleave and the Grandson of Barbara & Burl Taylor of Baton Rouge and Jim and Ruth Weston of Biloxi, and Linda & Johnny Kelly of Gulfport. Bryce and Aubrey are the Nephew’s of King.
