Many people have tried to describe Coast cuisine. It's probably best to say it's a fusion of many things, influenced by all the cultures that make up the Coast.
And, you'll likely find a restaurant that caters to those tastes - anything from typical Southern style to French. Of course, if you want seafood, that's what we do best.The Coast has plenty of home-grown eatin' places with paper towels and plastic cups along with some of the best fine-dining restaurants you'll find anywhere established by some of the biggest names in cooking: Emeril Lagasse and Todd English, among them.So dig in, and don't count the calories.
