Amy Brandenstein earned her journalism degree from the University of Missouri and she joined WLOX-TV as a Jackson/George County reporter. Her exposure to the Mississippi Coast persuaded this Ohio native to make this her permanent home. When the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce needed a public relations director, they recruited her and she quickly became the driving force behind the effort to bring the Dixie Youth Baseball World Series to Pascagoula. In 2003, she joined Chevron’s Public and Governmental Affairs department and has become a household name throughout Jackson County as a leader of Rebuild Jackson County, United Way, the Pascagoula Sounds by the Sea concerts and by serving on countless boards while administering Chevron’s community affairs programs.
