Second, third shifts at Northrop Grumman closed because of Ida

Northrop Grumman Shipbuilding’s Gulf Coast facilities continue to monitor Tropical Storm Ida’s approach to the Gulf Coast.

Other than ship watches, maintenance and security personnel, or unless notified by supervision, second and third shifts are closed for today at Avondale, La. and Pascagoula and Gulfport, the company said in a press release to media.

Normal operations will resume on first shift Tuesday Nov. 10.
