It was a three game sweep for the 13th-ranked Commodores (24-10, 8-6 Southeastern Conference) against Mississippi State (14-21, 3-12 Southeastern Conference). Vandy has now earned its first SEC road series sweep since 1993.
John Lalor (1-3) took the loss for MSU. Making his first start of the season, Lalor worked five innings, allowing six hits and three runs (all earned), with one walk and six strikeouts.
LSU 8, Ole Miss 2 - Logan Power hit his sixth home run of the season, but it wasn't enough to help the Rebels pick up a sweep for the second straight weekend as No. 18 Ole Miss (24-12, 9-6 SEC) fell to LSU (22-13, 6-9 SEC).
The loss snapped a nine-game win streak for the Rebels, who were going for a second straight sweep in SEC play after sweeping then sixth-ranked Vanderbilt a week ago.

Chris Matesich led the offensive charge for the Golden Eagles again Sunday afternoon with three hits, an RBI and a run scored. Kyle Maxie added in a 3 for 4 afternoon with two runs scored. Keith Winstead and Trey Cuevas has two hits apiece for the Golden Eagles as well.
Starting pitcher David Clark (3-4) had a solid outing, throwing five innings, allowing only four hits, before leaving the game in the sixth after taking a line drive off the knee. The severity of his injury is not yet know.
WKU 13, UNO 12 - Western Kentucky designated hitter Chad Cregar launched a two-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to help the Hilltoppers take a 13-12 win over New Orleans on Sunday at Maestri Field.
Houston 11, Tulane 7 - Junior first baseman Sam Honeck went 3-for-3 with two doubles, and RBI and three runs scored, but it was not enough as the Tulane University baseball team dropped the series finale against Conference USA foe Houston at Cougar Field.
Tulane (24-11-1, 4-4-1 C-USA) led 5-3 after three and a half innings, but Houston (22-12, 7-2) plated three in the bottom of the fourth, another three in the sixth and two more in the seventh to claim the series, 2-1.
Tennessee 6, Alabama 4 - Shawn Griffin's three-run homer in the eighth helped the Tennessee Vols beat Alabama, clinching the series.
