JACKSON, Miss. -- Bloi-Dei Dorzon rushed for a touchdown and had a 49-yard run to set up another score in Jackson State's 19-7 win over Alabama State on Saturday.

The Tigers (4-5, 1-5 Southwestern Athletic Conference) totaled 212 yards of offense in their first home win of the season, and fourth consecutive against the Hornets (3-5, 3-3).

After a 46-yard field goal by Eric Perri, Jackson State's Ryan Rich blocked a punt to give the Tigers the ball at the Hornets' 2-yard line.

Dorzon, who finished with 108 yards, scored from 3 yards out for a 9-0 lead with 5:11 left in the first quarter.

Dedric McDonald gave Jackson State a 16-0 advantage on a 1-yard run with 1:31 left in the first quarter after Dorzon's big run.

McDonald finished with 63 yards on 8-of-25 passing.

The Hornets' Chris Mitchell was 13 of 34 for 148 yards and Nick Andrews caught five passes for 63 yards.
