Until the damage is repaired, The Sun Herald reports (http://bit.ly/WdH6bi) the funeral home will operate from a temporary office in the parking lot.

Jason Moody, the vice president, says he and three funeral home employees were in the building when the smoke alarm went off Wednesday and then they saw the fire coming from a back room.

Moody says there were no body in the building at the time of the fire and workers were able to get some equipment out.

Deputy Fire Chief Nate Wilson said the fire was out in about 20 minutes.

Wilson says the building sustained smoke and heat damage.

The cause of the fire has not been determined.
