Minnesota's Brian Dozier, who played collegiately for Southern Miss, did not advance out of the first round Monday in the annual Home Run Derby in Minneapolis.

Dozier hit two home runs and was one of two American Leaguers eliminated after the first round. Josh Donaldson, like Dozier, did not advance.

Justin Morneau and Yasiel Puig of the National League were eliminated in the first round as well.

Jose Bautista hit 10 homers to lead the AL contingent heading into the second round.
