Gautier's Quave brothers make Lombardi watch list at ULL

Louisiana-Lafayette offensive linemen Mykhael Quave and Daniel Quave, both of Gautier, were named Monday to the 2014 Rotary Lombardi Award Watch List.

The two players are brothers and former standout football players for Gautier High School.

Daniel Quave, a right guard, is preparing for his senior season and Mykhael Quave, a left tackle, is headed into his junior campaign.

Daniel Quave, who stands 6-foot-3, 324 pounds, was named second-team All-Sun Belt Conference in 2013 after starting all 13 games for the Ragin' Cajuns. He has made 39 consecutive starts for ULL and earned second-team All-Sun Belt Conference last year.

Mykhael Quave is listed at 6-5, 295 pounds and has started 26 straight games at ULL.
