Gulfport man arrested on charge of possession of a weapon by a felon

GULFPORT -- Marcus Jermaine Lashley, 41, of Gulfport, Friday on a charge of possession of a weapon by a felon.

Police Sgt. Damon McDaniel said Lashley's arrest was the result of a traffic stop, where he was found to be in possession of a handgun. McDaniel said officers later learned that Lashley was a convicted felon.

Lashley was held at the Harrison County jail in lieu of a $10,000 bond set by Justice Court Judge Brandon Ladner.
