Tyrone Antonio Robinson, 28, was arrested July 10 on charges of felon carrying a concealed weapon, discharging a firearm and malicious mischief.

GULFPORT -- Tyrone Antonio Robinson, 28, of Gulfport, was arrested Thursday stemming from the discharging of a firearm on Old Pass Road, Sgt. Damon McDaniel said.

Officers responded to a shooting call at Genevieve Drive around Old Pass Road about 6 p.m. Thursday, McDaniel said. Officers were told an argument took places between Robinson and the complainant. While leaving as the passenger in a vehicle, McDaniel said, Robinson held a handgun out the window and fired it into the air. McDaniel said the vehicle was later stopped on Hewes Avenue near 2nd Street and Robinson was arrested on a charge of discharging a firearm.

Officers later learned Robinson was a convicted felon and charged him with possession of a weapon by a felon.

Robinson was held at the Harrison County jail in lieu of a $25,000 bond set by Justice Court Judge Brandon Ladner. He was also given a bond of $662.75 by the Gulfport Municipal Court for discharging a firearm.

McDaniel said the driver was arrested but was not charged.
